Most of the popular companies try to make new business models to win new customers and create new ones in the marketplaces, such as Amazon, Apple, Starbucks, Google and eDreams.

Amazon.de and eDreams have reinvented their business model in a similar way. Both of them started with the standard models and decided to grow their customers and markets with new types of business models. 

Amazon, the “everything store” company, has constantly made new plans of actions for new developing markets; from digital books, cloud administrations, streaming media to mechanical technology, and later to its more recent foray into healthcare. eDreams; however, decided to grow by opening tourism to new countries and making collaborations with recognized brands.

Google is a definitive reference for searches. Google My Business account guarantees that, when somebody looks up a company on Google Search and Google Maps, they find it. When they do, that search result makes suggestions on the best way to find that company, regardless of whether it is web-based if it possesses a physical location.

The connection between innovation and new business models

Everybody knows how popular Netflix has been, and this has been the case for a while. People choose to use Netflix due to its appeal to large masses. However, Disney, which has been in the entertainment business for 95 years, brought in a new playing field. The graphics of the audience suddenly changed with Disney’s new business model when it entered the online streaming market with Disney Plus.

When we discuss telecommunication business models, Vodafone and Apple are exemplary brands. Apple made a Business Chat model, which denotes similarities with the Blackberry Messenger platform BBM, in that only Apple users can use this application. What is your favorite series related to entrepreneurship?

I never thought I would be doing this start-up marathon but there I was.

My friends insisted and I decided to accept because I didn’t want to be disgraceful. The first thing I noticed when I arrived was the crowd, I still managed to find somewhere to sit. At the begining, the ideas’ owner went on stage to indroduce themsleves and pich their idea. Then, we, the public, voted to pick the best 10 ideas. The “Dorm” was the idea which really attected me the most. It was almost like I had the idea before. It was time to team up and I became the first business developer for the idea “Dorm”.

I don’t recall being involved that much in something, the training, the mentor speeches etc. During 48 hours we bearely slept, socialized and ate. however I have no regrets, on the contrary it was a great accomplishment to devlop an idea from scratch.

Here we are, time to send our presentations, presentations, prototypes, etc. After that it was the time to get ready to get on stage.

Jury members had poker faces, no emotions were showing. When it was our time to present all the effort and elbow grease, we weren’t nervous at all, surprisingly. The 10 minutes we were on stage felt like a couple of seconds  to me; when we finished, we recieved a round of applause.

We all knew that only the first 3 teams would be announced. The first and the third team were announced; congratulations. The Second team; oh okay, you deserved it guys. Then, we heard: “And the winning team is Dorm! You were great guys, congrats!”

Being rewarded for one’s effort is the best feeling!  That marathon meant a lot to me and that experience gave me the knowledge of what it is like to be an entrepreneur.

We already know the negative part of being your own boss. You have to be extremely disciplined, you will put yourself in risky situations, you will not sleep, and the worst part:  what if you run out of money and fall into debt? That is a dark hole in which anyone would want to avoid. But we are not here to make you lose hope. Our purpose with this article is to make you believe you can build a company and be proud of it.  So we would like to show you 8 reasons why you should start your own business and become an entrepreneur.

1. Freedom. You will work hard, and at the beginning, you will spend your time making an arduous effort to ensure your company works. However, you will reach a point in which you will be able to manage your schedule and enjoy your free time.

This amazing TED Talk invite us to rethink the typical introduction question “Where are you from?” and suggests us to reformulate it like this: “Where are you local?” Then the answer will be richer,  you’ll get a better insight of the person, more accurate and interesting.

The speaker Taiye Selasi, born in UK but raised in the US with African heritage, considers herself a Citizen of the world, and more exactly a “Multi-local” person. She tries to define who she is, going to her roots and she realizes that she’s not from a country , she’s her experiences and her experiences happened locally. “How can I come from a country?” she asks. “How can a human being come from a concept?”

She proposes a three-step test, to know where are you local, she call these the 3 “R’s”:
