We are honoured to be recognized by Business Insider as one of the top 3 fastest-growing startups in Germany for July 2020.

Although the Coronavirus pandemic was a hard hit to the economy, the online platform for internationals, Club GLOBALS, managed to turn the tables and reinvented its brand by creating two additional ventures: GLOBALS Homes and GLOBALS Jobs.

By doing so, Club GLOBALS has created a one-stop-shop online marketplace where English-speaking expats and internationals in Berlin can find their new apartment, new job, and new community in one go.

Make international life easier. Never has Club GLOBALS been so in line with its mission.

And so, a one-man club was transformed into a truly GLOBAL team of fifteen members, which has earned its way up to ranking third in Business Insider’s top 100 fastest growing startups for July 2020 in Germany. 

Welcome to the team Sharifa!

Hello everyone,

I’m pleased to introduce myself as the newest member of the Club GLOBALS team. My name is Sharifa and I’m a 20-year-old student. I will be undertaking an internship in Marketing, Community Development and Event Organization for the next 4 months.

For the last two years, I have been studying at MBO Rijnland in the Netherlands, where I will return back this year for my exams.

I was born and raised in The Hague and I live there with my whole family. I have always enjoyed traveling and I have been on a lot of vacations with my family. So you might be wondering why I wanted to do my internship here in Berlin, for four months by myself and not in The Netherlands.

On one point in my life I was wondering how it would be to travel alone because I always have done it with my family. And finally an opportunity came along from my University, to take an internship in a different country.

I was really excited about it. Just the thought of living in a different country by myself, learning a different language and meeting new people got me hyped up.

Also, it didn’t take me a long time to figure out that I wanted to go to Germany. It is a great place for students to live. There are a lot of different people from  other cultures, recent and relevant History, enough Monuments, alternative lifestyles, busy nightlife and many Art and Architecture. And in The Netherlands it’s nice as well, but I just needed a change.

In my first week as a new member, I learned a lot about Club GLOBALS and AiRelo, who they are and what they do. The fact that their mission is to connect expats in Berlin and that they want to help make internationals’ life easier is awesome. I’m an expat myself and to know that there are people around who are willing to help us is great. It gives me an extra feeling of not being alone.

I’m looking forward to being a part of this community, help people like me and to welcome you to the community at our upcoming events!

Hi all!

I’ m Zuzana from a small city Brezno located in the middle of mountainous Slovakia. I moved to Berlin more than two years ago to study at university. And also to increase my intercultural knowledge by connecting with people from all around the world.

When I arrived in the city, I didn’t know anyone and I didn’t know the city at all. During the first weeks and even months, I have encountered many problems. From bureaucratic issues to housing and making friends. This hard time became a driving force behind my dream. Which was first to be part of the Club GLOBALS team.  And second, to ensure a very smooth and enjoyable start of the international life here for other newcomers to Berlin.

In the next months, as a Community Development intern at Club GLOBALS I am going to do my best. My best to help expats and entrepreneurs with all the issues they may face after arrival to Berlin. In order to satisfy the needs of the newcomers, my goal is to get all kinds of service providers in Berlin on our Club GLOBALS platform. We will also assist them in growing their customer base as well.

I am excited to be part of the upcoming Club GLOBALS events where we facilitate the meeting of service providers with their potential customers. You can find our networking events. I am looking forward to meeting you all in person at our next event on Thursday 25th February 2016- New Year’s Reception on Connecting Entrepreneurs and Corporates though Events !

In my spare time, I like to take dance classes in Berlin, which gives me another opportunity to get to know people from different cultures.  Skiing and ice skating are my favorite activities in the winter. And of course, I enjoy discovering new nice places in Berlin, such as parks and streets. I am impressed by one of the powerful tools for businesses, such as Social Media Marketing. Especially Facebook is catching my attention so if you have the same interest I will be very happy to exchange ideas.
